TYPOLOGY
One of the Festival's main features is that there are all the types of choirs that a choir repertoire may require.
Treble Voices
The children choirs are always up to their task; among them a special mention goes to the Eastern European choirs, some of them are truly extraordinary.
Youth Choirs
The freshness and liveliness of the youth choirs' performances are always a success. Often, these cantors come from music Schools, Colleges or Academies.
Vocal Ensembles
Audiences appreciate the professionalism of such small choral groups which often take up the most challenging pieces of choral production in terms of technique and music.
Mixed Choirs
This is the most representative type of choir where singers of every age perform any kind of repertoire.
Equal Voice-Choirs - male/female voices
The particular tone-color of these choral ensembles meets always with success. The usually perform a popular genre repertoire, namely the male-voice choirs, but sometimes they offer a mixed repertoire too. Most choirs performing the Alpine repertoire every year and animating the Festival's traditional 'Show' on top of Mount Elmo are mostly mixed choirs.
